Cardano Blockchain
• Mainnet – Proof-Of-Stake blockchain called Ouroboros. It's an L1 environmentally sustainable
Blockchain Protocol. Ouroboros enables the Cardano network's decentralization and allows it to
sustainably scale to global requirements without compromising security.
• Testnet - The Cardano testnet offers full Cardano functionality, including stake pool operation,
transaction metadata, native tokens, and more.
• Faucet - The Faucet is a web-based service that provides test ada to users of the testnet. While
these tokens have no 'real world value; they enable users to experiment with Cardano testnet
features, without having to spend real ada on the mainnet.
